Yield: approx 1 cup
- 50g butter
- 2 Tbs quality cocoa or cacao
- 1 Tbs pure maple syrup
- Pinch of powdered stevia (optional but adds some extra sweetness without the carbs)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup cream
- In a small pot over medium heat melt together butter, maple syrup and cocoa.
- Add cream and whisk to combine.
- Simmer gently for about three mins - will thicken slightly.
- Remove from heat and cool slightly before serving.
