This is a really nice low-sugar treat to add to some Homemade Ice-cream or Chocolate 180Superfood Ice-cream

Cook time: 3mins

Yield: approx 1 cup



  • 50g butter
  • 2 Tbs quality cocoa or cacao
  • 1 Tbs pure maple syrup
  • Pinch of powdered stevia (optional but adds some extra sweetness without the carbs)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup cream



  1. In a small pot over medium heat melt together butter, maple syrup and cocoa.
  2. Add cream and whisk to combine.
  3. Simmer gently for about three mins - will thicken slightly.
  4. Remove from heat and cool slightly before serving.
