One of the things I love about 180Superfood is that it is delicious in a smoothie or just on its own. These are protein packed balls of superfood goodness and something the whole family can enjoy!

Prep time:
10mins
Freeze time: 30mins
Finishing: 10mins
Serves: Makes about 15 per flavour (depending on size)

Ingredients (Coconut Balls):
  • 2 heaped scoops Coconut 180
  • 1/3 cup coconut cream (I use Ceres organics and just use the thick cream on top)
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

Ingredients (Chocolate Balls):
  • 2 heaped scoops Chocolate 180
  • 1/3 cup coconut cream (I use Ceres organics and just use the thick cream on top)
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • 2 Tbs cacao powder
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

Method:
  1. Mix all ingredients together - will make a soft paste (add more 180 or some ground cashews if too runny)
  2. Shape into balls (I did about 1/2 golf-ball-size)
  3. Place on lined tray and put into the freezer for about 30 mins
  4. You can put sticks in them to make them easier to dip in chocolate - this is optional, otherwise just put them in the pot of chocolate and roll around until covered then carefully remove.

Chocolate coating:
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup cocao powder
  • 1 Tbs Pure Maple Syrup or 2Tbs Organic Rice Malt Syrup
Method:
  1. Place in a small pot stirring to combine ingredients and melt coconut oil.
  2. Cool until slightly thickened again (put in fridge for 10mins to speed up process)

To Finish:
  • Remove coconut balls from freezer
  • Dip in chocolate (it will set on them because they are cold)
  • Transfer to a container and store in fridge
